This building is distinguishable thanks to its refined architectural style, the neo-classical facade is articulated with pilasters, an upper gable and avant-corps. The Gallina family, famous above all for Stefano Gallina, Minister for Finance under the reign of Carlo Alberto di Savoia, had the building constructed between the end of the eighteenth and beginning of the nineteenth century. On the pediment there is a quote taken from the Eclogues by Virgil “Deus nobis haec otia fecit”, “God gave us this rest”. Today the building houses the town library ‘Falcone e Borsellino’.
